ByeNow (“the service”) lets people create a page to sell their things before a move and share it by link. This is how we handle information.
1. What we collect
- Sellers: the sale content (title, message, collection area, item titles, descriptions, conditions, model numbers, product info links, prices and photos, and private buyer notes), replies to buyers' messages (where the sale allows replies), a one-way hash of the password, a hashed identifier derived from the IP address used to create the sale (the IP address itself is not stored; it is only used to limit bulk creation), and when the admin page was last used. If a seller turns on browser notifications, we also keep the delivery address and encryption keys the browser provides, and the display language, only to send those notifications; they are removed when notifications are turned off or the sale is deleted. Notifications mention no more than the sale title and item names.
- Visitors: the name you enter when you tap “I'd like this”, the messages you send the seller about each item, and your list's PIN (shown on your list page and to the seller of that sale). If you turn on browser notifications (for your list or to follow a sale), we keep the delivery address and encryption keys your browser provides, the display language, which list the notifications are for, and a record of the updates we send, only to send those notifications. They are removed when you turn notifications off or the sale is deleted (the record of updates after 14 days). The seller only sees how many people get notifications, not who. Notifications mention no more than the sale title, item names, prices and handover dates.
- Everyone: cookies used only to keep you signed in and to remember which browser can edit your list (no advertising or tracking cookies); anonymous page-view statistics via Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies; a hashed identifier derived from your IP address, kept for a few days to count daily use of translation, interest lists, AI drafts and photo uploads (the IP address itself is not stored; it is only used to prevent overuse and abuse); browser signals checked by Vercel BotID when you create a sale, translate, start a list or save an item, to block automated abuse; and access logs kept by our hosting provider.
2. Why we use it
To run the service, to translate item descriptions automatically, to draft item descriptions and look up model numbers when a seller asks, to check listings for prohibited content and prevent abuse, and to understand how the service is used.
3. Who can see it
Sale pages, photos and interest lists can be seen by anyone who has their link. Sale pages are marked so search engines do not index them.
4. Service providers
Data is stored and processed mainly in the UK, though content delivery and translation/checks may pass through servers elsewhere, such as the US. Providers: Vercel (hosting, analytics, photo storage and bot detection, in the UK), Neon (database, in the UK), Google's Gemini API (translation of descriptions and of wish-list messages when someone taps Translate, automatic content checks, and — when a seller asks — description drafts from the title, condition, model number, current description and, if chosen, photos, and model number lookups; we use the paid API, whose inputs are not used to train Google's models, though model number lookups use Google Search and Google keeps those requests and results for 30 days, which it may use to debug the search feature), Tally (our contact form, based in Belgium with data stored in Europe), and the push service of the seller's or visitor's browser (such as Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft), which delivers browser notifications in encrypted form. We do not share information with anyone else unless required by law.
5. How long we keep it
A sale, including its photos and interest lists, is deleted automatically 90 days after its admin page was last used, or straight away when the seller deletes it. Logs kept by service providers follow their own retention periods.
6. Your choices
Visitors can change their name from the browser that created the list (or one where the PIN was entered). Sent messages can't be withdrawn, so to have them removed, ask the seller who shared the sale with you to delete your list (its messages go with it), or contact us below.

ByeNow（以下「本サービス」）は、利用者の情報を次のとおり扱います。
1. 取得する情報
セールを作る人（出品者）
- セールの内容: タイトル、メッセージ、引き取り場所（地区名）、アイテムのタイトル・説明文・状態・型番・商品情報の URL・価格・写真、販売先メモ
- 購入希望者のメッセージへの返信（返信できるセールの場合）
- パスワード（元に戻せない形に変換して保存し、そのままの形では保存しません）
- セールを作成した通信元の IP アドレスから作った識別子（元の IP アドレスは保存しません。同じ場所からの大量作成を防ぐためだけに使います）
- 最後に管理画面を使った日時
- ブラウザの通知をオンにした場合: ブラウザが発行する通知の送り先（URL と暗号化の鍵）と表示言語。通知を届けるためだけに使い、オフにするかセールが削除されると消えます。通知に書くのはセールのタイトルとアイテム名までです
セールを見る人（閲覧者）
- 希望リストを作ったときに入力した名前と、アイテムごとに出品者へ送ったメッセージ
- リストの編集用 PIN（本人のリストページと、そのセールの出品者の管理画面に表示されます）
- ブラウザの通知をオンにした場合（希望リストの知らせ・新着のフォロー）: ブラウザが発行する通知の送り先（URL と暗号化の鍵）と表示言語、どの希望リストの知らせを受け取るか、送った知らせの記録。通知を届けるためだけに使い、オフにするかセールが削除されると消えます（送った知らせの記録は 14 日で消えます）。出品者には、通知を受け取っている人数だけが見え、誰かはわかりません。通知に書くのはセールのタイトルとアイテム名・価格・お渡し可能日までです
共通
- Cookie: ログイン状態と、希望リストを編集できるブラウザかどうかを覚えるためだけに使います（広告やトラッキングには使いません）
- アクセス解析: Vercel Web Analytics で、ページの閲覧数などを集計します。Cookie は使わず、個人を特定しない形で集計されます
- 通信元の IP アドレスから作った識別子と回数: 翻訳・希望リストの作成・AI による下書き・写真のアップロードなどの 1 日の回数を数えるために、数日間だけ保存します（元の IP アドレスは保存しません。使いすぎや悪用を防ぐためだけに使います）
- 自動操作の検出: セールの作成・翻訳・希望リストの作成・アイテムの保存などでは、プログラムによる不正な操作を防ぐため、Vercel BotID がブラウザの環境などの情報を確認します
- ホスティング事業者が記録する通信ログ（IP アドレス・ブラウザの種類など）
2. 利用目的
- 本サービスの提供（ページの表示、管理画面、希望リスト）
- 説明文の自動翻訳
- 出品者が頼んだときの、説明文の下書きの作成と型番の検索
- 禁止事項にあたる内容の確認と、不正な利用の防止
- 利用状況の把握と、サービスの改善
3. 公開される範囲
- セールのページは、URL を知っている人なら誰でも見られます。検索エンジンには載らないよう設定しています。
- 写真は、URL を知っていれば誰でも見られる形で保存されます。
- 希望リストのページも、その URL を知っている人なら見られます。
4. 外部サービスへの提供
本サービスは次の外部サービスを使っており、必要な範囲で情報がこれらのサービスで保存・処理されます。データの保存と処理は主に英国のサーバーで行いますが、配信網（CDN）や翻訳・確認のために米国など英国外のサーバーを通ることがあります。
- Vercel（米国の事業者。処理と写真の保存は英国のサーバー）: サイトの配信、写真の保存、アクセス解析、自動操作の検出
- Neon（米国の事業者。データは英国のサーバーに保存）: データベース
- Google（Gemini API。米国の事業者）: 説明文と、翻訳を押した希望リストのメッセージの翻訳、掲載内容（文章・写真）の自動確認、出品者が頼んだときの説明文の下書き（入力中のタイトル・状態・型番・説明文と、選んだ場合は写真）と型番の検索。有料の API を使っており、送った内容は Google の AI の学習には使われません。型番の検索には Google 検索を使い、その依頼と結果は Google が 30 日間保存し、検索機能の不具合の調査などに使うことがあります
- Tally（ベルギーの事業者。データは欧州のサーバーに保存）: お問い合わせフォーム（入力された名前・メールアドレス・内容）
- ブラウザの通知の配信サービス（Google・Apple・Mozilla・Microsoft など、使っているブラウザの事業者）: 出品者・閲覧者がオンにしたブラウザの通知の配信。通知の中身は暗号化して渡します
これ以外の第三者に、法令に基づく場合を除いて情報を提供することはありません。
5. 保存期間
- セールは、最後に管理画面を使ってから 90 日で、写真・希望リストも含めて自動で削除します。
- 出品者がセールを削除した場合も、同じく写真・希望リストも含めて削除します。
- 通信ログなど外部サービスが記録する情報は、各サービスの定める期間保存されます。
6. 訂正・削除
- 出品者は、管理画面からいつでもセールの内容を直したり、セールを削除したりできます。
- 閲覧者は、リストを作ったブラウザ（または PIN を入れたブラウザ）から名前を変えられます。送ったメッセージは取り消せないので、リストごとの削除を、そのセールの出品者に依頼してください（リストを削除するとメッセージも消えます）。
- その他のご依頼は、下記の連絡先までお知らせください。
7. 変更
このポリシーは必要に応じて変更することがあります。変更後の内容は、このページに掲載した時点から適用します。
